Having a naturally beautiful hair is almost every woman’s dream. However, we usually opt for the shampoos that can be obtained from supermarkets and beauty stores. Homemade shampoos are prepared with natural and organic ingredients and they play a vital role for the healthy growth of our hair. This kind of shampoo has been used for ages and is sometimes called as traditional natural shampoo.

1.Mint Julipoo Oily Hair Shampoo:

Take 2 cups of water and bring it to boil in a pot [1]. Then add 2 tablespoons of peppermint leaves, 2 tablespoons of spearmint leaves and 1 tablespoon of dried sage to it. Close the pot and allow it to soak for 15 min. Use a colander to drain the mixture. Mix the liquid with half a cup of liquid castile soap and 5 drops of lavender essential oil. Transfer the potion to an empty shampoo bottle and shake it well before usage. This shampoo is beneficial for people with oily hair.

2. Hydrating Shampoo:

This shampoo is suitable for all hair types particularly those with dry hair as it can hydrate and moisturize your scalp and hair [2]. Obtain 2 eggs and beat them well. Then add 3 tablespoons of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Beat the mixture again until it has become smooth. Rub this shampoo on your scalp and scrub mildly. Then rinse off with cold water.

3.Nettle Itchy Scalp Shampoo:

Nettle shampoo is useful for itchy scalp issues [3]. Obtain 8 oz. of water and heat it. Add 1 teaspoon of stinging nettles and equal amounts of lavender. Allow the potion to simmer for 20 min. Strain the mixture and allow it to cool. Add 3 oz. of castile soap to it and pour the concoction in a shampoo bottle. Shake the mixture to ensure that the ingredients have mixed well. Wash your hair at least twice a week with this shampoo for best results.

4.Tea Cake Organic Shampoo:

Heat 2 oz. of water in a pan [3]. Remove the pan once the water has come to boil. Soak 1 tea bag of organic rosemary to it for 10 min. Then discard the teabag. Add 8 oz. of castile soap, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and ¼ teaspoon of grapefruit seed extract to it. Place the mixture on a low flame and stir it until it has fully combined. Let the mixture to cool for half an hour. Store the shampoo in a shampoo bottle and shake it well each time before usage.

5.Indian Herbal Shampoo:

Obtain 100g of soap beans, 500g of shikakai, 250g of fenugreek, 250 g of mung beans, a bunch of curry leaves and a bunch of basil leaves [4]. Use an oven to dry them up. Then grind them into a fine powder and store them in a jar. Mix a small portion of this powder with water every time you want to shampoo your hair. You can also add essential oils of your choice for better result. This shampoo can give your hair a bouncy and uplifting look.
