Some of our activities in our day to day life require intense use of our eyes like working hours on computers, reading, watching televisions, surfing on mobiles etc. Sleep deprivation and poor lighting conditions, poor diet, allergy, stress and heavy drinking can also make our eyes tired and irritated. Expensive eye creams and over-the –counter cosmetics are available to treat tired puffy eyes and most of them contain harmful chemicals and additives. Since skin around your eyes is delicate and sensitive, homemade eye gel from natural ingredients are best remedy for getting rid of those dark tired eyes.
Homemade Eye Gel Recipes
1. Homemade Aloe Vera, Cucumber And Chamomile Eye Gel:
1tbsp. of Aloe Vera Gel (preferably squeezed from the leaf)
1chammomile tea bag
1 medium sized cucumber (chopped)
1 sachet vegetable gelatin
½ tsp. honey
Aloe Vera contains anti-inflammatory properties that will help to fight inflammation of the eyes; cucumber and chamomile will help to sooth tired eyes with their excellent cooling properties. Aloe Vera and honey are also good for retaining moisture and hydrate the skin. Their soothing property will help to soften and moisturize the delicate skin around the eyes and bring a nice glow. Honey will help to lighten the darkness around the eyes.
Method Of Preparation:
First of oil boil a cup of water and steep chamomile tea in it and allow it to cool. Put aloe Vera gel, cucumber slices, half of chamomile tea and blend. Put this juice in a pan, add gelatin and heat in a low flame until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat; allow it to cool, add honey and stir well. Store the gel in an airtight (sterilized) glass container. You can also keep it in refrigerator and use it for about a month.
Apply under the eyes after washing your face. Do not rub too much; allow it to get absorbed for at least an hour and then wash off with clean water. Using this eye gel overnight can have better effect.
2. Homemade Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Hydrating Eye Cream:
To provide more hydration to your tired achy eyes this homemade eye cream is perfect solution. This recipe uses vitamin E and aloe Vera gel which both have hydrating effect on your skin. The Jojoba oil added in the recipe will further help to improve the texture of the skin around the eyes, eliminate wrinkles and tighten the skin will also help to moisturize the skin around your eyes and help to remove puffiness and dark circle.
2 tbsp. of Aloe Vera gel
1tbsp. vegetable glycerin
1 vitamin E capsule
1tsp. Jojoba oil
Method Of Preparation:
Combine the entire ingredient in glass jar. Shake the bottle before use. Store this eye cream in refrigerator. Apply a little bit of this cream under the eyes with your finger after washing your face and hands. Provide your eyes some more rest by placing slice of cucumber after laying down and closing your eyes.
3. Lemon And Tomato Eye Serum For Relieving Tired Eyes:
Juice of half a lemon
Juice of half a tomato
The abundance of vitamin, Minerals and antioxidants in this eye serum recipe will help to provide nourishment to your tired exhausted eyes. Lemon and tomato juice will also help to lighten the dark circles around the eyes and help them appear bright.
Mix both the juice and allow it chill for 20 minutes in refrigerator. Apply chilled juice around the eye and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with cold water. Cooling and soothing the area and constricting the blood vessels this recipe will bring relief.
4. Chamomile Tea Compress:
Cod compress on the eye can help remove tiredness of the eyes. Moreover chamomile is well known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial property which helps to sooth and rejuvenates your eyes when applied as chilled compress.

Brew a cup of chamomile tea. Remove the tea bag and place it on the freeze for 15-20 minutes and allow it to chill. Place this chilled tea bag and allow it to rest on your tired eyes. It will bring considerable relief. Repeat this method on both the eyes with used tea bag 2-3 times a day for complete relief.
5. Cucumber Eye Gel With Green Tea (With Aloe Vera Optional):

We know that cumber soothes the tired eyes with its cooling and refreshing properties and green tea leaf from a used green tea bag will strengthen its effect with its antioxidant and healing properties.
Blend cucumber pieces and used green tea leaves from the tea bag together to make a refreshing and revitalizing eye gel. Apply regularly to get not only relief from tired eyes but also to eliminate puffiness and dark circles.
