Take a cotton ball and dab it with tea tree oil. Apply on the affected area. Allow it to dry before washing off with water. It is better to apply at night and leave it for an overnight. People with sensitive skin must dilute the tea tree oil with water at the ratio of 3:1. Another technique is to combine 4 or 5 drops of tea tree oil with 1 teaspoon of honey. Apply this on the acne and allow it to dry off for 15 minutes. Then wash off with water. Follow this once or twice a week for best results. This remedy can also wash away the extra oil on the skin.
